What Crucible knows about you

You decide how much goes in. What’s there is used to run your training and nothing else. We don’t sell it, rent it, or hand it to advertisers, and there’s no ad network or tracking company anywhere in this app.

That’s the whole policy. The rest of this page is the detail, so you can check rather than take our word for it.

What we store

Your account. A handle and an email address. The email is there so you can get back in when you forget your password.

Whatever you put in Personalize. Your age, gender, what you do for work, what you’re training for, tracks you’d rather skip, and notes on what an adversary shouldn’t bring up. Every one of those fields is optional. Leave the whole screen empty and Crucible still runs, it just picks scenarios less well. You can change or clear any of it whenever you like.

Your drills. The transcript of what you said, the score, and which tactics landed. Same for tactic reps.

How you sounded, as numbers. Where your pauses fell and how long they ran, the range your pitch moved through, how quickly you spoke.

Your Coach conversations, plus the short notes the Coach writes to itself so it still knows you next week. Those notes are listed in plain text under Coach, and you can delete any of them one at a time.

What we never store

Your voice. While you’re speaking, Crucible works out the timing and the pitch inside your own browser, then throws the audio away frame by frame. No recording is written to disk and none is sent to us. What leaves your machine is a short list of numbers.

No location, no contacts, no camera. Crucible never asks for them.

Who else sees it

The model that scores you. Grading a conversation means reading it, so the transcript goes to an AI model through OpenRouter, which passes it to whichever provider is serving that model. Every request we send forbids providers that keep prompts, so your transcripts aren’t retained there and aren’t used to train anything.

Two companies we rent infrastructure from. Supabase holds the database and Railway runs the app. Neither is given your data for any purpose beyond storing it and serving it back to you.

Other users, but only if you switch it on. The leaderboard is off for everyone by default. Turn it on in Personalize and other signed-in users see your handle, your best score, how many sessions you’ve run and how many days you’ve been active. They can never see a transcript, a debrief, anything else from Personalize, or a word you said in a drill. Turn it off again and you disappear from it. Nobody who is signed out can see it at all.

That’s the entire list. There is nobody else.

Deleting it

The delete button in Personalize removes your account and everything attached to it: every run, every rep, every transcript, every measurement, your Coach history and its memory, your handle and your leaderboard entry. It’s enforced by the database itself rather than by a cleanup script we hope finished, and it can’t be undone. There is no archive, no soft delete, and no thirty-day grace period where we keep a copy in case you change your mind.
